Day 2 - 9/12/07
For the second straight day, the Ducks scrimmaged in front of a good crowd at Anaheim ICE. J.S. Giguere and Samuel Pahlsson still did not participate, both recovering from abdominal surgeries.

Day 2 of training camp for the Ducks followed much of the same pattern as Day 1. J-S Giguere was on the ice skating again prior to the beginning of practice. He was working on his shot, which seems odd for a goalie, but perhaps he is aiming to get a goal himself this year. He is still estimating his return to full practices next week.
The players are still split into two groups and will be until enough of the prospects have been sent to whereever they will be playing this year, whether junior teams or Portland. Today group B practiced on the NHL rink, which is at least 15 to 20 degrees warmer than the Olympic rink. Global warming does not exist on the Olympic side of Anaheim Ice. Both groups maintained the same players as yesterday.
Day two saw more drills and conditioning laps for about 45 minutes. Some of the drills were the same and some were more complex than yesterday. After a brief break for the zamboni, there was another long scimmage that bounced from one ice rink to the other and back again. The change in ice rinks meant that while one rink was being zambonied, the team could continue scrimmaging without much break in between. They played three 30 minute periods, same as yesterday. This time the white team (group B) came out on top with a 6-4 victory.
