Well on top of the way the Ducks have been playing, I might as well add more bad news. Phil Hulett who is the PA announcer for the Ducks is becoming the Bryzgalov of announcers. He is now the backup announcer as his role with his day job has increased and will no longer allow him to continue his announcer duties. In other news, the Ducks are once again working with CHOC on another fundraider.
Phil Hulett becomes the backup announcer
Due to his increased responsibilities and work schedule at KFWB 980 AM, Phil Hulett will no longer be able to serve as the Ducks’ primary public address announcer. Mike Carlucci, who served as Anaheim’s PA announcer from 1994-97, will return to the microphone beginning tonight vs. Phoenix. Phil will continue to be available in a backup PA role, and Anaheim will recognize Phil’s 11 seasons with the Ducks at a future home game.
“Phil has been a tremendous public address announcer for the Ducks for the last 11 years, presiding over almost 500 games and a Stanley Cup Championship,” said Anaheim Ducks Executive Vice President/COO Tim Ryan. “We wish him the very best and continued success at KFWB.”
