Well I nearly had a heart attack when I realized that the Ducks won a game without having to go into overtime/shootout and not blowing a one point third period lead. They played hard physical hockey throughout the game. They did give the Kings a 6 on 3 in the last minute of the game but were able to kill the power play. Well here is tonight's game day report.

MVN Game Coverage
The Ducks and Kings met for the fifth time this season, already past the halfway point in their eight game season series. The Kings broke a five game losing streak last night in San Jose and the Ducks are coming off two losses - one in regulation and one in the shootout on Friday.
The Ducks put Jean-Sebastien Giguere in net after giving him the day off on Friday. The Kings had Jason LaBarbera in net in spite of playing the night before. In spite of three power play opportunities by the Ducks, the Kings got on the board first. Kyle Calder finished off a nice sequence begun by Lubomir Visnovsky back at the Kings net. A couple of nice passes later and Calder got the puck and shot it past Giguere. The Kings had two power play opportunities of their own, including one late in the period. Dustin Brown made it 2-0 with :29.2 seconds left as he got the rebounding puck up and over Giguere.
