The start time for the Ducks' Jan. 20 game at Dallas has been changed from 10:30 a.m. Pacific time to 12:30 p.m. Pacific. The start time was changed to comply with the contracted flex scheduling related to the NBC coverage of the Boston/NY Rangers game.

It's all part of the education of the Ducks' Bobby Ryan.
With Sidney Crosby now a superstar and Jack Johnson learning the ropes with the Kings, the Ducks have patiently waited for 20-year-old Ryan to grasp the NHL learning curve and prove they were right to draft him second overall in 2005, behind Crosby and ahead of Johnson.

However far the Ducks go this season, it has become clear they will get there largely on the strength of their defensemen, a group that features the “big four” of Chris Pronger, Scott Niedermayer, Mathieu Schneider and Francois Beauchemin.
Since Niedermayer’s return to the lineup in mid-December, the Ducks have not only cut down dramatically on the number of goals and scoring chances they are giving up, but they have received a significant offensive boost from their blue-line corps. Entering Friday night’s matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks at Honda Center, the Ducks have received six goals and 16 points from defensemen in the past seven games.
